FAQ

About CISO Malaysia

What is CISO Malaysia?

CISO Malaysia 2027 is a one-day cybersecurity leadership conference in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday, 28 January 2027. It brings together senior cybersecurity, information security, technology risk and resilience leaders to examine how organisations can translate cyber strategy into operational capabilities, govern AI adoption, strengthen resilience and respond to an increasingly complex threat environment.

The programme combines keynotes, CISO and AI panels, fireside chats, case-study-led presentations, two afternoon tracks, networking sessions and a closing reception. Topics include AI-native security, cyber resilience, leadership, identity, Zero Trust, NCII compliance, incident response, cloud security, third-party risk, social engineering, deepfakes and secure technology adoption.

Who should attend CISO Malaysia?

CISO Malaysia is designed for CISOs, CSOs, CIOs, CTOs, technology and cyber-risk leaders, and Heads, Directors and VPs responsible for information security, cybersecurity, business continuity, security assurance, auditing, technical architecture, AI risk or AI governance. It is relevant to practitioners from banking and finance, government and regulatory bodies, fintech, ecommerce, retail, utilities, energy, manufacturing, insurance, transport and logistics.

Vendors, consultancies and solution providers may attend using the applicable vendor registration category.

Why should I attend CISO Malaysia?

Attend CISO Malaysia to gain practical perspectives on the security and leadership decisions facing Malaysian organisations in 2027. Attendees will learn how to govern AI adoption without unnecessarily slowing innovation, move from compliance activity to operational resilience, contain identity-led attacks, strengthen incident response and recovery, and manage risk across cloud, suppliers, third parties and interconnected digital environments. Sessions will also examine AI-enabled attacks and defence, Zero Trust implementation, secure architecture, human and machine identities, deepfakes, social engineering, NCII obligations and the changing strategic role of the CISO. Practical takeaways include frameworks, case studies and approaches that attendees can use to improve AI guardrails, security architecture, response planning, stakeholder alignment and the execution of cyber programmes under operational pressure. Delegates can compare approaches with practitioners, evaluate relevant technologies and build relationships with cybersecurity, risk and resilience leaders through structured networking and the closing reception.

How is CISO Malaysia different from other Cyber security conferences?

CISO Malaysia focuses on the priorities of Malaysian cybersecurity leaders while connecting strategic leadership with practical security execution. Its 2027 programme addresses Malaysia-relevant regulatory and NCII considerations alongside AI governance, identity, resilience, cloud, third-party risk and emerging threats. The format includes executive panels, case studies, fireside chats, two afternoon tracks and facilitated networking.

What networking opportunities are available at CISO Malaysia?

CISO Malaysia brings together CISOs, CSOs, CIOs, CTOs, cyber-risk leaders, and Heads, Directors and VPs responsible for information security, cybersecurity, business continuity, security assurance, auditing, technical architecture, AI risk and AI governance. Attendees can connect with peers working through AI adoption and governance, regulatory and NCII obligations, cyber resilience, identity-led attacks, ransomware, cloud and third-party exposure, incident response, and the challenge of turning cybersecurity strategy into practical delivery.

Networking is built into the event experience through speed networking, coffee and refreshment breaks, lunch, exhibition access, informal conversations throughout the day, and the closing Networking & Drinks Reception.

CISO Malaysia Focus Topics

What are the focus topics for CISO Malaysia 2027?

The four headline themes for CISO Malaysia 2027 are:

1. AI-driven security: How AI is changing threat detection, response and security operations, while creating new risks through agentic AI, deepfakes, synthetic identity and AI-enabled attacks. This theme addresses how organisations can use AI to increase security capability while putting appropriate governance, safeguards and human oversight in place.

2. Strategic cyber leadership: How CISOs can influence boards and executives, align stakeholders and turn cyber strategy into measurable delivery. This theme addresses the gap between security ambition and execution and helps leaders position security as a business and resilience enabler.

3. Proactive risk management: How organisations can prepare for ransomware, identity-led attacks, cloud exposure, third-party risk, critical-infrastructure disruption and increasingly interconnected environments. This theme addresses the need to move beyond reactive controls and point-in-time compliance towards continuous visibility, readiness, containment and recovery.

4. Secure and ethical innovation: How organisations can adopt AI, cloud and other emerging technologies responsibly, with accountability, regulatory alignment and security embedded in design and deployment. This theme addresses the need to support innovation without creating unmanaged risks around data, identity, autonomous systems or trusted communications.
